Who am I
Hi, I’m Lukas and I work as a Solutions Architect and Platform Engineer, mainly with the AWS toolstack. I started software development at school and turned my hobby into a profession. I have been working in professional software development for over 6 years and have a degree in computer science.
My Mission
The design and implementation of data platforms is the most exciting challenge in my professional life so far, which is why I have specialized in this area. My goal is to help your company break through data silos and implement and operate data-based solutions in a decentralized yet structured way so that you can leverage the value of your data.

Platform Engineer/Architect
As part of a very competent team, I am responsible of the data platform of AXA Germany. I have been involved in the following tasks:
- data platform design
- data platform development
- platform engineering (e.g. AWS Development via Terraform)
- tool evaluation based on functional/non functional requirements and existing platform limitations
- integrating tools into the platform
- tracking technical debts
- designing solution strategies for the development of new applications in data centric projects

Rewe Systems
(Big Data) Software Developer
I was part of a great team that was responsible for developing a product that enabled customer specific marketing campaigns related to customer behavior. I was involved in the following tasks:
- software development with a test driven approach based on big data tools
- API Design: enabling backend functionalities for different frontends
- ETL development and data engineering
- supporting business stakeholders to define their requirements
- deployment of software, including ML models
- tool stack: Hadoop (MapR), Spark, Scala, MapR, Bash, Maven, Python, HBase, OpenTSDB, Grafana, SQL, Docker, Kubernetes

RoadWeather
RoadWeather is a SaaS project that provides real-time weather data for travelers to support their route planning. The project is currently under development.
